In The Times of India, the article
Bollywood Profits hit an all Time Low talks about just that. Since the start of 2009
Bollywood has yet to have a film to bring in a lot of revenue. Typically the film industry in India has done very well, due to the fact that lots of Indians watch movies instead of TV. This is
probably due to the fact the the world is in an
economic slump. Since people don't have as much money, they can't afford to spend as much on things that aren't
necessities. You can get by
without watching movies, but you can't get by without food.
